About Me
Hello, I'm Joanna Goldsmid. Growing up in leafy southwest London, on the edge of Bushy Park, I have had a love of the natural world for as long as I can remember. Walking home from school through herds of red deer was not unusual!
Like for so many though, this precious connection to nature ebbed away during adulthood as I moved further into London and into office work. It was during a career in charity fundraising, that the discontent set in and the longing to be outside closer to nature, grew.

Eventually, I listened and for the last 5 years I have had the good fortune to deliver workshops to help children connect to nature in their primary school grounds and early years settings, and on nature reserves across London, for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB), the City of London's education team at Hampstead Heath, the London Wildlife Trust and The Conservation Volunteers.

As a mindfulness practitioner for the last twenty years, I’ve been wanting to combine working with the mind to bring about a greater sense of wellbeing with my love for the outdoors.
I think I’ve found the perfect combination: helping children tap into a deeper sense of wellbeing through a mindful connection to the natural world.

I hope to be outside exploring with your pupils very soon...
